Alongside its natural beauty, the Engadin also offers a rich culture – beginning with the local language, the melodious Romansh Putér, which guests can learn during summer courses in July. The rich singing traditions of the Engadin can be experienced during performances by the Engadin's choirs.
Numerous painters and writers have been, and continue to be, inspired by the Engadin's landscape. They have left behind a rich legacy, which can be enjoyed in exhibitions and readings at various venues such as the Hotel Laudinella, the Reine Victoria in St. Moritz and the Waldhaus Sils. Festivals such as "Resonanzen" and the Sils Art and LiteraTour Days are firm fixtures in the summer events programme.
A workshop for our regular summer guests with Dr Mirella Carbone on Nietzsche, Segantini, Giacometti or Robbi is an absolute pleasure which you shouldn't miss out on. And the guided art tours in Zuoz through the numerous famous galleries, or at the Art Masters in St. Moritz, are an absolute must for modern art aficionados.
The various museums are also well worth a visit, as is the Mili Weber House, a comprehensive artwork by Lake St. Moritz. In summer numerous festivals await you, such as the Art Masters, the St. Moritz Opera, the Engadin Festival with exclusive concerts, the Jazz Festival in Dracula's St. Moritz with famous and promising new stars, and the Origen Festival Cultural, which takes place in unusual venues and features innovative productions.
