A great variety of sports in upper Engadin

A great variety of sports

Thanks to the varying topography of the Engadin, our guests can enjoy a great variety of sports – such as golf, kite-surfing, surfing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming – within a very small area.

Samedan is Switzerland's oldest golf course and will soon celebrate its 125-year anniversary. With the pleasures of alpine golfing and the immediate, almost tangible proximity of nature, Zuoz guarantees a truly special experience. And the Hotel Kulm in St. Moritz offers a 9-hole course which sensitively unites the rhythmic variation of unspoilt nature and high-tech golf architecture.

When the Maloja winds blow constant, lovers of fast-paced sports take to the water: kite-surfing, surfing and sailing on the Engadin's lakes offer a unique experience. Though we recommend that stand-up paddling or surfboard yoga are practised only in calm conditions...

The Engadin is a paradise for all mountaineers. With many mountains over 3,000 metres in height, via ferratas, climbing parks, high-rope courses and chalets, there is a wide selection on offer.

Canoeists and kayakers can also discover the beauty of nature on the River Inn and the lakes. Do you want to go course fishing or fly fishing? These days, angling is not just about the fish that are caught. Angling has become a lifestyle. And that lifestyle fits in perfectly in The Upper Engadin. Almost no other place combines lifestyle with nature in such an exciting way. That's probably why the new, young and increasingly female generation of anglers feels so at home here.

And swimming is of course also on the menu – in the Engadin's natural lakes or in the charming swimming facilities at Zuoz, Samedan, Pontresina and St. Moritz. The Engadin has something for everyone. Please enquire at your hotel.
