Authentic hospitality meets delicious regional cuisine

classic-swiss-gastro-trans.pngThe face of the front of house at the Gasthaus Spinas is a true South Tyrolean original: Roland Gruber, better known under his artist name "Ak". This authentic, full-blooded gastronome from Vinschgau and his team warmly welcome you.

Every day from 11.30 am, our head chef and his team regale our guests with dishes made using regional and seasonal ingredients, freshly prepared by hand and with a loving eye for detail.

Our wine cellar is stocked with selected bottles from the local region, from neighbouring South Tirol, and from Italy and Austria. We place great emphasis on including small-scale, family-run wineries that make great wines with passion and dedication. It gives us particularly great pleasure to recommend these.

  • On 29 June, the popular “Grill Kiosk” in front of the guest house will begin serving food again: delicious French fries and bratwurst are finally back on the menu! New: scoop ice cream and, every Saturday and Sunday, Weisswurst (traditional Bavarian sausage) with fresh soft pretzels.

Hugo – the house cocktail at the "Spinas"

The original recipe is no longer a secret ... 15cl prosecco, 1 dash lemon balm syrup , a splash of soda, fresh mint, a slice of lemon and ice. And carefully stir! To find out what it really tastes like, you will have to come visit us at the "Spinas". The original Hugo, mixed by Ak himself!

Just take the train

The last train departs Spinas Station at 9.38 pm towards Samedan. In case you miss it, "keep calm" ... You can stay the night in one of our 12 cosy guest rooms and enjoy the tranquil night and the burbling of the River Beverin. And if you listen closely, you will hear the fox bidding the hare good evening.
